Our History
Founded in 1993 by Jon and Steve Solomon, IFPC, Inc. has distinguished itself as the premier provider of many types of flooring, protective coatings, quartz, granite & marble. Serving clients worldwide, IFPC, Inc. delivers exceptional craftsmanship and quality, building long-term relationships in a vast array of markets.
Divisions of expertise in which IFPC, Inc. excels include: Marine Repair (which includes all interior/exterior decking, fabrication & habitability), Land, Containment/Scaffolding and Granite. The IFPC, Inc. team of highly skilled, certified professionals has a long and proud history of supporting federal, state, and local governments, including the Department of Defense, as well as other public and private industries.
IFPC, Inc. Core Competences include all phases - demolition, decontamination, removal, materials, replacement, installation, insulation, maintenance, and preservation - of flooring solutions and protective coatings, containment, environmental controls, fabrication and habitability.
IFPC, Inc. has three office locations, two in Norfolk and one in Hampton. Our headquarters are located in the Norfolk Industrial Park, here we have our main home office, estimating and project management teams. Our Commercial Flooring Division, Granite Division (Fabrication & Install teams) and our Marine Repair Division all mainly operate out of this location. Our other facility in Norfolk houses all of equipment, we own a vast array of equipment and vehicles so we are ready to mobilize very quickly for our clients. Our facility in Hampton houses all of our fabrication equipment to support the fabrication needs in our Marine Repair Division, as well as the private market needs.

I wanted to take a moment and send a note of gratitude and appreciation.
I recently had my kitchen renovated and had your team install my quartz countertops. They did an amazing job. During install, it happened to be storming and a windy day and the door of their truck swung open and cracked my tail light of my car. Your employee came in and told me what happened and apologized. He gave me the office phone number and had me get connected with Deena. He said it was his fault and that they would take care of it and even had a full time mechanic on staff that could help with fixing it.
The next day I spoke with Deena who was very helpful and the first thing she was asked was, how can we make this whole and make you happy? We managed to coordinate with your mechanic who was able to order the part and schedule a time for me to come into the office and have it replacedI was in the office yesterday. Your mechanic met me at the back door and immediately took care of it. I walked inside and saw the wall of thank you letters and your mission statement and thought wow, they are certainly living up to their mission statement and have exceeded my expectations. Well done!! Twenty minutes later, my car was ready and I was on my way.
You have a great team who clearly share the values throughout your company - literally from the mechanic to the front office staff. It's great to see a company whose mission statement is lived out and is not just a nice piece of paper on the wall. It is with the utmost gratitude that I make this submission to IFPC Management regarding the “climate change” that has taken place onboard USS Gravely during the course of this avail. Understanding the turbulent start to this project, including the potential for continued friction between NASSCO and IFPC was highly probable; NASSCO Area Managers and IFPC site management (Q specifically) have continued the push to salvage our critical business relationship.
Bottom Line: the production from IFPC has been nothing short of extraordinary under Q. He single-handedly changed a souring relationship with my Project Team. He has constantly found ways to slide production to the left in order to keep schedule; we can agree this no small feat. Whether it is COVID, Tropical Storms, or less severe weather impacts; Q has ensured your team’s success through grit, communications, and significant legwork. He turned the Flight Deck and Foc’sle re-surfacing (nightmare) into a great success story
