Sheet Metal Fabrication Estimator/Engineer-
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following. Other duties as assigned.
The Estimator is responsible for developing shop fabrication estimates. They will use the RFQ/drawings/sketch/site visit to compile an estimate to include labor, materials, and any subcontracted work. Perform Drawing/ship checks and layouts for various sheet metal installations and fabrications. Once awarded Estimator/Engineer will input drawing sketch into CAD for production to fabricate.
Requirements:
10 years’ experience with sheet metal fabrication and ventilation
5 years of Estimating Experience.
Auto-cad Training, CNC Calculating.
Set-up & operation of CNC Press Brake.
Plasma Table Programming/cutting parts.
Vent Layout & Pattern Development.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with Navy, Coast Guard, MSC, Commercial Vessels
Understanding of Work specifications, NAVSEA STD Items, General Technical Requirements.

Valid Drivers License
Must have your own Transportation
Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Electrical Controls Technician/Electrician--
Job Summary:
We are seeking an Electrical Controls Technician/Electrician to join our team.
Responsibilities:
· Assist the Electrical Superintendent in the setting up and breaking down of temporary lighting and power distribution systems in shipyard environments
· Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment ranging in voltage from 12VDC to 480VAC
· Troubleshoot and repair commercial industrial equipment, to include abrasive blasters, dehumidifiers, heaters, Ultra High Pressure (UHP) pumps, air conditioners, air compressors, vacuums, and other equipment as required
· Design modifications and implement changes to control logics when needed
· Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
· Occasionally support and/or perform electrical work in residential and commercial environments
· Perform other duties as assigned
Experience:
· 4+ years of electrical troubleshooting experience
· Basic knowledge of electrical theory in alternating and direct current (AC/DC)
· Knowledge of motor controllers and their operation
· Strong affinity for, and ability to perform troubleshooting, demonstrate analytical thinking, and utilize problem-solving techniques
· Demonstrated success in locating and correcting faults in motor controllers
· Ability to utilize technical manuals and publications as well as online resources as needed
· Experience in residential and commercial electrical work is not required, but desired
Desired:
· Military experience with a technical vocation is a plus
· Experience in machinery or mechanical work is a plus

Trowel Mechanic
IFPC is looking for an experienced Trowel Mechanic. Position will entail install of terrazzo, color flake, carpeting, VCT, and tile aboard Naval vessels. Rip out of interior spaces aboard Naval vessels, as well as commercial buildings. Will assist with all other trades as needed. Shipboard or Shipyard experience is preferred.

Previous experience, especially in particular industry, preferred.
Must b proficient and knowledgeable of NONSKID application on U.S. navy ships to include masking and protective coatings.
Education Requirements:
High school diploma or GED, B.A., Technical/Vocational trade school, or apprenticeship
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
Must be able to climb up and down ladders and gangways, work aloft while wearing fall prevention equipment
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry the same for short distances and up and down stairs and steep inclines
The work requires long periods of standing on a variety of surfaces and at differing angles, bending over, crouching, and climbing up and over obstructions such as scaffolding, ladders, and internal barge and boat structural members.

Qualified candidates preferred certified to SSPC C-7 or C-13. Can provide a history of abrasive blast experience aboard vessels or complex industrial structures. OSHA -10 (Maritime) training /certification a plus.
Qualified candidates should be capable of:
Connecting all air and electrical systems associated with blast equipment.
Understand the various blast standards and can produce; SP-5, SP-6, SP-7, and SP-10 cleaned surfaces to established regulatory standards
Has experience using various abrasives (Black Beauty, Garnet, Aluminum Oxide, and steel grit) and the equipment used for these processes
Has experience blasting steel substrates
Has experience operating centrifugal wheel blasters
Understand Confined Space entry requirements
Experience operating UHP water jetting equipment to include wands and robots.
Must be able to pass a same-day use oral drug test.
Must maintain a high level of attendance; and do quality and unsupervised work.
Excellent communication skills.
Work effectively as a team.
Follow instructions and guidelines set forth by the company.
Available to work 7 days/week as needed.
EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES:
Must have 2+ years' experience blasting
Must be able to set up, operate, and maintain blasting equipment in accordance with OSHA, federal, state, and local standards, and requirements for shipyard work.
Must have knowledge of shipyard safety practices.

UHP (Diesel Engine) Mechanics & UHP Operators

IFPC is seeing experienced UHP Mechanics & Operators become a vital part of our company!
*Position will entail maintaining and operating Ultra-High-Pressure (UHP) Waterjet equipment to include pumps, motors, and associated support equipment in a shipyard environment. *
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Inspect, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot 40K and 55K Ultra High-Pressure Water blasting pumps. Background with FLOW equipment is a plus.
- Check the equipment to make sure you have an adequate water supply and that it is working properly
- Operate pressure washer machinery to clean surfaces
- Inspect the surface area after the washing to ensure it is clear of dirt and debris
- Clear the job site and store all hoses and equipment correctly
Requirements include:
- 2-3 years of manual assembly production and industry experience with high-pressure equipment preferred
- Experience working in a physically demanding environment confined spaces and working at heights
- Understand and carry out verbal directions given by the supervisor
- Understand and obey all posted warning, caution, notification, and/or hazards signs posted on a job site
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance
- Must be able to climb ladders and work aboard a maritime vessel.
