IFPC’s partnership with The Koester Company allows the company to provide services relating to contaminate removal on concrete slabs. This system is a proven cutting-edge technology utilizing a specialized hydrocarbon-extraction/de-greasing agent and final oil-containment coating for use on oil-contaminated concrete surfaces. This sophisticated removal and containment process rehabilitates governmental and industrial surfaces, rendering them suitable to receive any type of flooring system. IFPC is one of only three firms nationally that offers the Koester Oil Removal System (ORS). Government and industrial floors can be contaminated to a depth of several inches. IFPC uses the Koester system to deep-clean and coat these floors by mechanically removing surface contamination on layers, thereby exposing surface voids for subsequent deep cleaning. The cleaning and coating applications can take place in sections, which allows for work without causing disruption to building activities or problems with production/traffic. Further, any type of floor covering such as another epoxy, carpet, VCT or hardwood can be applied on top. Cleaning and coating instead of concrete removals save time and expense. This decontamination system is ideal for situations that involve processes with any hydrocarbons such as sugar or oil, which are bond breakers. This decontamination process ensures highly sanitary conditions which block out disease. This process is compatible with USDA and FDA approved coating systems for non-contaminating, anti-microbial buildings. International Flooring offers cement decontamination services as part of our commitment to “the total flooring system.” We continually research, evaluate and prototype new components of the flooring and protective coating process. IFPC’s cement slab decontamination offering is yet another service for our specialized client base. We welcome all inquiries regarding this state-of-the-art system. | ![]() |
