CONTAINMENT SERVICES

containment tentsInternational Flooring and Protective Coatings, Inc. surpasses others with speed and efficiency when our military needs containment services.   IFPC provides fabric-clad, pre-engineered tensioned structures made in the USA using 6005-T5 aluminum and PVC fabric membrane. As a team, we are ready to deploy at a moment's notice with an in-stock inventory and personnel available 24/7.   Our team has successfully overcome a variety of challenges at sites throughout the Eastern Seaboard - including extreme weather and crucial time constraints. Our operations-focused team has the experience to meet your particular needs, and the ability to provide additional portable structures as needed.

Our containment tents are quickly set up, and expandable in both width and length.  Tested for decades, these mega-sized tents are engineered for withstanding heavy winds and inclement precipitation.  The hollow aluminum box beam uses an ingenious groove in each of the four corners. A fabric welt called keder slides into the grooves in the box beam. The result is a lightweight fabric structure that can be rapidly installed and withstand severe weather conditions.

IFPC is proud to provide Mega-Tent Containment services to the United States military, as well as industrial and commercial clients.

USS PONCE DECK RESURFACING

When a warship comes in to dock for deck resurfacing, IFPC’s own expert team goes straight to work, in many cases 24/7. Commuters in Newport News, Virginia might see towering spines of aluminum being erected atop the ship as a mega-sized PVC fabric membrane is overlain. When the new deck primer and finish are being applied, temperature and humidity requirements are strict. IFPC’s climate-controlled containment tents ensure these protocols are met – ultimately helping with adhesion of the new flooring materials and with improved drying time. “The work of removing the worn out decking must be contained; dust, dirt and removed materials are captured and later disposed,” says Robert Patrick, IFPC’s General Manager. “To meet EPA standards, a super-sized containment tent is erected and fortified at all four corners,” adds Gooch.
